Talking about the Lpg cylinders that we all have at home, most of us wouldn’t have paid much attention to the details marked on the cylinder while purchasing it from the distributor.This is mistake.It is important understand the fact behind these details mentioned in
the cylinder for our safety.
If you look at circular part of the cylinder around the regulator you can see something written with an alphabet and a number of two digits.For eg B22.What do this signify?
This detail signify the validity of the cylinder.The Alphabet A B C D signifies the month of an year and the number signify the expiry year of the cylinder.
A – January to March
B – April to June
C – July to September
D – October to December
From next time pay attention to this detail mentioned and look weather we are using a cylinder that did not exceeded its valid period.Cylinders used for household purpose are in red color and commercial purpose are in blue color.
Do not roll cylinders horizontally on grounds.Always keep it vertically in flat surfaces.Switch Off regulator every night before going to bed.Do not place cylinders inside an enclosed compartment.Do not allow children to play near the installation of LPG.
When smell comes,close the regulator and burner knobes.Put off all flames and open windows and doors.A cylinder break cab destroy up to a building.Self repair is unsafe.
