Transfer the stem into a transparent glass. Using a steel cup or any other material would hesitate to get the sun rays for the stem. Add essential water to the glass. Change the water continuously for five days. Then we can see new roots sprouting from the bottom of the stem. After five days transfer the healthy stems to the soil and plant it.

You can plant it straight in the soil or a pot. Fill the pot with soil, cow dung and coco peat. Make deep holes in the soil and immense each mint stem into it. Cover the holes with soil and pour water for the stem. After two days it will start growing well. No special care is needed for the leaves to grow. Proper watering is enough.

To grow coriander leaves at home, we need coriander seeds that we use in our kitchen. One thing to consider is that the seeds should be fresh and not extended the expiry date. Take a bowl , put some coriander seeds, pour water until it covers the seeds well and soak it for atleast 8 hours. After soaking for 8 hours drain out all the water from the seeds using a strainer.

Now take a wooden chappathi maker and spread the seeds above it. Using a chappathi roller and roll through seeds to flatten it. We don’t mean to grind it, just flatten the seeds. This is to soften the hard skin of the seed and make the sprouting process easier. Now the seeds are ready to saw.

Transfer the seeds into the pot filled with soil, cow dung and coco peat. Stir through the soil and set it ready for planting. Make lines in the soil that are deep. Apply the seeds thickly above the lines. Thicker planting will ensure strength against the strong air that may destroy the thin stems that grow at the early stage. Cover the lines with soil and pour water for a week.

After a week we can see small saplings growing from the soil. Properly water it in the morning and evening. The saplings will grow in batches and not all together. Do jose water strongly using a cup. Make hole in the cap of a water bottle and gently pour water to the saplings.

We can see healthy and bushy leaves from the third week. It will gain it’s natural shape from fourth week. Do not leave without plucking the leaves for a long time. If you do flowers starts to grow in it an reduce the growth of leaves.
