The Land Rover Defender is a series of British off-road cars and pick-up trucks. Though the Defender is not a new generation design, it have significant changes, compared to the series Land Rovers, such as adopting coil springs front and rear, as opposed to all leaf springs on the previous; except for retaining rear leaf springs on high capacity (payload) models. Coil springs helps for the better ride quality and improved axle articulation.

Externally, a full-length bonnet and full-width integrated grille and headlights, combined with a single-piece windscreen, plus widened wheel arches that covered new, wider-track axles were the most noticeable changes. The on-road price of Defender in Delhi starts at ‎₹ 89.19 Lakh and goes upto ‎₹ 1.32 Crore.

The main features of the Land Rover Defender includes The Driver Assist Features, Pivi Pro connected infotainment system, head-up display and Interactive Driver display, ClearSight / 360degree Camera, Multiple Customisation Options and Activity Key. The legendary SUV alsi undergoes the 21st-century modern treatment.

It is equipped with a blind-spot assist which makes convenient lane change. The adaptive cruise control automatically adjusts to the speed of the car in the front, keeping a safe distance from other vehicles. Buyers can choose from the Explorer, Adventure, Country and Urban options with a host of 170 individual accessories.

The Land Rover Defender has a 3D surround view 360-degree1.7-megapixel camera, both on and off the road. It also have a ClearSight rearview camera which changes from a conventional mirror to a digital display using a live video feed from the roof antenna with a 1.7 megapixel camera. It is also featured with a Wade Sensing feature to measure the depth of the water.

It’s reworked Canon’s features include 10-inch Pivi Pro infotainment system enabled by Land Rover’s Electronic Vehicle Architecture (EVA 2.0) with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. It is very user-friendly, intuitive, responsive and includes controls for cabin air ionisation. The Connected Navigation Pro System studies and suggests easy and alternative routes that are comfortable for you.

The Interactive Driver Display can be configured to provide full screen high-definition 3D mapping. The two Head-up Display (HUD) assists the driver by displaying speed, directions and off-road incline information with camera angles. The Activity Key is water-resistant and shock-proof wearable device with an LCD screen. It helps to unlock doors, lock or start the vehicle with the help of electronic ‘handshake’.

The vehicle has 2 Diesel Engine and 2 Petrol Engine on offer. The Diesel engine is 2996 cc and 2995 cc while the Petrol engine is 1997 cc and 2995 cc . It is available with Automatic transmission. Depending upon the variant and fuel type the Defender has a mileage of & Ground clearance of Defender is 291mm.
