You can harvest the leaves whenever you need them in Kitchen. The next set of leaves will be ready for to next two weeks. Another one is Mint. Mint is an easy to grow and hard to kill plant which makes it one of the best plant for a beginning gardener. You can develop the mint plant from cuttings. You can use a refrigerated stem also for plantation. Anyway choose a healthy stem and cut the stems just below a node where a leaf grows on the plant. Remove all the leaves by keeping the top leaves.
Pace the stems in a glass of tap water and leave it an airy and light place until the stem has taken root. The stems will take roots within a couple of weeks. Once a good root system has developed transfer the stem to the soil. Another plantation is Fenugreek or methi seeds are used as a spice, dried leaves as a herb, and fresh&tender leaves as green leafy vegetables. Soak one tsp fenugreek seeds for a minimum of six to nine hours to develop its roots. Sow the seed 1/4 inches deep in a good potting mix or soil with a proper drainage system.
