Now a days the use of laptops have increased as majority of the people are working from home. But most of them don’t look for the right laptop for their actual purpose. Most of them consider only the price and the brand. In fact we have to consider many things before buying a Laptop.
At first we understand the real purpose behind purchasing a Laptop as there are various types of laptops and each of them invented for different uses. If you are buying a laptop for your son for his study purpose you can choose a low budget laptop. Laptops made of i3 processor is a good choice for this. It can be used for simple and office purposes.
Another thing we have to consider is it’s storage space. It should be at least 1 TB. Recently SSD’s are also in like hard disks. This enables the device to boot with a highest speed. If we are saving a large file SSD helps to save faster than normal hard disk speed. SSD should be at least 128 gb. An SSD is bit expensive.
Next is it’s RAM. It should be at least 4 GB. It’s display will be Hd. It will cost around 35,000₹. Another thing we have to take care is about display. The resolution comes in 13” 15” etc. So we have to choose according to our use. If you are person who travel a lot it is better to choose a 13” laptop for easy carrying. If you are staying at home always you can choose 15” laptop to view movies with a higher resolution.
If you are planning to buy a laptop to do activities like coding, programming, graphic designing etc.then you have to choose a medium level laptop with i5 processors. It should have integrated graphics card in it. RAM should be at least 8 GB. While choosing an i5 never have a one without SSD.
If we are choosing a laptop with RAM below 8 GB then we have to enquire whether RAM upgradation slot is available. Because some have 4 GB slot or 8 GB slots and also comes with two slots.We have to spent an amount of 4000₹ – 5000₹ to upgrade RAM. Then only it provides the best result.
If you are buying a laptop for gaming or video editing then you need a much higher processor. i7 processor with a high SSD is a good choice. We need a dedicated graphics card with a higher performance. RAM should be atleast 16 GB. We have to upgrade it frequently for effective video editing. While choosing the company we should consider if service is available around us.
During some seasons of we pay an additional amount of 1000₹ or 2000₹ the company will avail an extended warranty. If we utilize this chance we can use our laptop photo 3 years without any complaint or service expense. So it will be much better if you enquire about it and buy.
A very important thing to notice is that many of the recently launched laptops that are available in the markets do not have a CD drive in it. So if you are planning to buy one with a CD drive ask them about it before confirming your purchase. Also pay attention to those that with maximum number of USB ports. Battery performance is almost same that every company offers.
These are the basic things we have to know before we buy a laptop. It is better to purchase a laptop that is not below 30,000₹.Because at the end we should not get the feeling that this is not serving our purpose. Recently almost all shops provide and EMI facility that too without interest in some cases. So choose wisely!
