Our cookware may consist of Iron, steel, aluminium, non – stick etc. But do we know about which one is good for our health and which is harmful? Do we consider it while purchasing utensils? Non-stick pans
Most of them non-stick pans. They are beautiful, light weight and require only a small amount of oil to cook. It is easy to cook and clean. It comes with comparatively affordable rates. But it have disadvantages too. If we still keep using a non-stick pan after its coating is lost, the Teflon coating in the pan reacts with the food we cook and results in health issues. It is compulsory to use wooden spatula for non-stick pans and cleaned with a soft sponge.

Hard ionised pans
Though it seems like a non-stick pan it doesn’t posses any qualities of a non-stick cookware. But it is a long lasting cookware, be it the handle or the bowl area. It is very strong. It is actually an aluminum cookware with a coating. This requires more oil and the cooking time is high. Gradually it loss the coating.

Aluminium Utensils
Aluminum cookwares have many disadvantages. It’s coating get easily mixed with the food which is harmful to the body. Gradually it loses its weight due to the loss of coating. It is better to avoid aluminium cookwares.

Stainless steel
Stainless steel utensils are very easy and comfortable to use. They are suitable for easy cleaning and maintenance. There are different types of stainless steel cookwares that vary in thickness and other feature. All of them have their own advantages. Stainless steel pressure cookers are also available. Using these cookwares create no harm the body.

Cast Iron cookware
Cast iron cookware are good for our health. Cooking food items using cast iron increases the iron content in food we eat. Unseasoned and pre seasoned cast iron cookware are available. It is very easy to use. A demerit of cast iron is that they weigh much and may broke when fall down. After using it should be cleaned and applied with some oil. Otherwise it will get rust.
